WoW Gold Guide – Finding Valuable Fish Early in the Game

WoW Fishing is one of the overlooked Professions in the game because it takes a little longer than other Professions to level up. But since the newest release of World of Warcraft the WoW Fishing Profession is much easier to advance, this provides a good opportunity for new Horde players if they need gold early in the game. The fish we are looking to get is the Deviate fish in Azeroth.

Let’s see how to make WoW fishing profitable early on. First, you need to level up your character to level 75, which is fairly easy. You can get there quickly by finding a trainer at any of the cities, get a fishing pole and some inexpensive lures. Head out to a body of water, I like Eversong Woods, and start fishing, after you get to level 25 you won’t need a lure. Keep on fishing until you get to level 75. Go back and buy training for Journeyman. Once you do this head to the Oasis in the Barrens and begin fishing for Deviant fish.

Deviant fish are valuable because they can be cooked into something called a Savory Deviate Delight. This allows players to transform into a Pirate or a Ninja. They gain no effects, it’s done only for cosmetic reasons, but it’s popular and used for fun. It’s popular for instances and raids. This can be a steady source of gold early in the game, and it’s easier since the latest game updates. WoW fishing early on can be valuable if you follow these instructions. Happy Gaming.

With Archeology WoW Has Made the Game Even More Fun

With the new Cataclysm expansion by World Of Warcraft a new profession has been added, Archeology. By adding archeology WoW has enabled the players to uncover clues and pieces of the World of Warcraft’s intricately conceived and orchestrated history, improving the overall game play experience. Other secondary professions allow the player to gain buffs or enhance other skills. Archeology does not typically result in a buff or a skill enhancement. However, once a high level has been reached there is an opportunity to unearth rare and powerful items. While not terribly expensive it is time consuming to reach a high level in the this WoW professions.

Like most WoW professions Archeology is first learned in the capital from a profession trainer. Archeology must be learned in major cities. Unlike other WoW professions there are no trainers in the sticks. This can certainly put some wear and tear on ye olde hearthstone as a player will have to use it every time they want to improve their skill or purchase supplies. In archeology, Warcraft only requires that the player purchase a few supplies like a shovel to start. To begin with only a few archeology WoW sites will be available to the player, but this will increase as greater levels are attained. This profession is level adjusted. If the player goes to an area before they reach the proper level they will not be able to see any new sites until the proper level is reached.

The WoW Archeology map will not show up on the mini map. It can only be seen on the continent map. The player will have to go to the general area indicated on the continent map and then use the survey skill they have previously learned to find the appropriate spot to begin digging. A red indicator means the player is still too far away. Yellow means they are getting closer. Green means it’s time to stick the shovel in the dirt and get to digging. Each dig will gain the player a profession point. There are up to three points to be gained from each site.

Man players choose to use an archeology addon. These are fairly common in other WoW professions and archeology is no different. The archeology assistant is one such addon that will provide a list of dig sites, the level the must be completed in, and how to get there. Archy is another addon that provides a similar list. With archeology WoW has introduced a unique and fun aspect to the game.

WoW Cooking Guide

In this WoW Cooking guide I’ll go into some of the basics of the secondary Warcraft profession of cooking. This is a fantastic secondary profession especially if you’re a non healer who does a lot of solo play, because you’ll be able to heal yourself.

WoW Cooking- Levels 1-150

The first step to the cooking profession is to find a trainer, which are usually located near fires or pots in large cities. If you do have trouble finding one just ask one of the guards. At the beginning you’ll be an apprentice and you’ll need to find some ingredients such as meat, fish, spices and a fire. Even though you can cook on any fire it’s a good idea to learn to make your own so you can cook anywhere. All you need for this is some wood, tinder and flint.

Expert Levels 125-225

Next you’ll want to advance your skills to the expert level. For this you’ll need an Expert Cookbook. If you’re Horde, head over to Shadowprey Village in Desolace to find this book. If on the other hand you’re Alliance then head to either Silverwind Refuge, in Ashenvale or Dirge Quikcleve in Gadgetzan.

Artisan Levels 200-300

The next level to advance to is Artisan which will require some questing. If you’re Horde, then find Zamja in Ogrimmar for training. If you’re a part of the Alliance then Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge will be your trainer.

Master 300-375

I won’t go into too much detail in this WoW cooking guide about the Master level but you’ll need a cookbook that you can find in Hellfire Peninsula.

Recipes

You can get recipes by killing monsters, from chests, questing or you can buy them.

As a secondary profession, Cooking complements Fishing really well. That’s because while fishing can make you good amounts of gold, selling cooked fish is even more profitable. Also cooked fish provides healing. Apart from fish, pretty much anything you can cook can be sold. Some recipes also give you some really good buffs during raids and other situations.

If however, you don’t do fishing you can level past 300 by questing, which I won’t go into this WoW cooking guide but basically it involves killing monsters and cooking them.

WoW Cooking Guide

My favorite online game to play is WoW (World of Warcraft) and that is why I am writing this short WoW cooking guide article. I am going to show you a brief overview of the cooking skill in the game WoW. When I say WoW I am referring to the MMORPG World of Warcraft and that is how I will be referring it through out this article.

OK the first thing you will have to do to start cooking in WoW is to visit a cooking trainer to learn the skill. Most of the major cities in the game have cooking trainers and you can get directions to them by asking a guard in the city. Once you find the trainer you will want to learn the apprentice cooking skill and all the recipes you can learn at the moment. You will also want to learn the skill to build a fire so you can cook just about any where you want. This can come in handy if you are out farming material to cook with and are not near a fire source to cook with. You will need to carry a flint and tender and some simple wood in your inventory to build a fire after you learn the skill.

OK now that you have learned all your skills you can buy some ingredients from a cooking supplies vendor and you should be ready to start cooking. You can also buy the flint and tender and the simple wood to build your own fire from the cooking supplies vendor. Just remember that when you reach certain levels you will be able to learn new recipes and you will have to visit the cooking trainer to learn these new recipes.

To gain skill points you will need to make items that you can cook and this will raise your skill points. You can see these items by opening your cooking interface and the cooking icon to do this should be in your spell book. When you open this interface you will notice some things are color coded with orange, yellow, green, or maybe even gray. As you cook items these will change as your skill level goes up. You will want to try and cook items that are colored orange to guarantee skill points that way will gain a point for each item cooked. If you cook items that are yellow or green you are not guaranteed a skill point. If you cook items that are gray you will gain no skill points because your cooking skill level is to high for these items.

There is six different level classes in WoW cooking that you will have to gain as you progress. These different levels are attained by reaching certain skill levels in cooking. You will learn these levels from a cooking trainer once you reach these skill levels. Here is a brief over view of the different levels:

  1. 1-75 Apprentice (Visit trainer)
  2. 75-150 Journeyman (Visit trainer)
  3. 150-225 Expert (Purchase the book called Expert Cookbook from a NPC vendor)
  4. 225-300 Artisan (must complete quest)
  5. 300-375 Master (Purchase the book called Master Cookbook from NPC vendor in outlands)
  6. 375-450 Grand Master (Visit trainer in Northrend)

In order to learn the expert cooking skill you will need to purchase the Expert Cookbook. You can get this book in Shadowprey Village in Desolace (Horde) or at Silverwind Refuge in Ashenvale (Alliance). There should be a NPC vendor in these two areas to purchase it from.

In order to learn the artisan cooking skill you must complete some quests. The cooking trainer named Zamja in Ogrimmar (Horde) is where you should be able to start the quests. If you are alliance a NPC named Daryl Riknussun in Ironforge should be able to help. You will need a 225 Cooking skill to start the quests and a minimum player level of 35 to learn artisan cookin.

You can learn master cooking from a book sold by cooking trainers in Hellfire Peninsula. The horde can buy their book from a NPC named Baxter in Thrallmar. The alliance can get there book from Gaston in Honor Hold.

You can learn the grand master skill from cooking trainers in Northrend. Just visit your factions cooking trainer.

WoW Zombie Infestation

If you are a World of Warcraft player, you are probably interested in learning about and understanding the “Zombie Infestation” that seems to be related to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. There is no doubt that you have probably been “cursed” or you are noticing that you are unable to cast spells and perform other basic abilities in the game that you once were able to. This has erupted since the eve of October 22nd 2008 when an apocalypse of zombies invaded the realms and started their personal onslaught to World of Warcraft players everywhere. Known as the “Zombie Infestation”, the “Scourge Invasion” or more simply as “The Plague”, the disease is spreading! The question is, will you survive it?

The zombies are in every location in your realm…crates that are loaded down with this destructive disease are located in various cities around the cities that are part of the ever-popular “Azeroth” continent. Plague roaches are crawling in the depths of the shadows, over the hills, and through the places where players visit most! The disease is spreading by the infectious crates, the zombies that are lurking in every corner, and the plague roaches that are being killed! If you are infected with the disease, and are transformed into a zombie, you should know that the only cure for the plague to end is to meet an untimely and unfortunate death!

Millions of World of Warcraft players are fighting off vicious, flesh consuming zombies as you read this. As they fight to protect the character that they have become, the disease is infecting them and transforming THEM into a zombie! The zombies that are attacking can be a part of your faction, or even the faction in opposition. There are no rules when it comes to this massive sickness. This plague is expected to continue for quite some time. While there are some players who are enjoying the change to the often repetitive game, other players are becoming quite frustrated with the fact that they cannot play the game as they once did, and that they are affecting others in their Guilds, the parties that they are part of, and individuals in their faction.

If you develop this sickness, there will be many things that you will find that you will no longer be able to do. You know all of those NPCs that once considered you to be a friend? They were friendly, greeted you, and welcomed you…well; now, they will consider you to be a threat, an enemy. While you are able to cast spells, it will not be the spells that you are able to. The abilities that you have? Forget all about them! The new spells and abilities that you will have will be due to your new position as a flesh consuming, vicious zombie in World of Warcraft. If you know a player who can cast “Cure Disease” you are in luck! In addition to this, there are many special healers that are NPCs in the cities. Unfortunately, if you experience the transformation of a zombie, the only way to rid yourself of the disease is to die….

The bad news is, you can get infected over and over again.

There is a little good news in light of all this chaos…

First, when you are a zombie, you are considered to be friendly among all other zombies. It does not matter if you run into a Horde as an Alliance character, if both of you are zombies, you are considered to be on the same side. In all actuality, this allows “cross faction communication” as one player explained it. In addition to this, zombies can trade with one another! It does not matter if you are Horde, and they are Alliance (in the natural state), you can still trade items! That can be a super sweet advantage to the infectious and widespread disease. Last but not least, this is considered to be a “World Event”, so if you see that old Guild leader that booted you for no reason…you can blast him with the sickness and get your revenge!

All in all, that’s about it when it comes to the “Zombie Infestation” that seems to be part of the World of Warcraft teaser for Wrath of the Lich King. Based on forums, news releases, and other information gathered while writing this particular guide to the recent terror striking the ten million World of Warcraft players around the world, it seems that this infection is intentional and is not a program glitch like the virus plague that affected players in the year of 2005. As a matter of fact, developers and other individuals who work to create World of Warcraft and maintain it almost seem as if they are quite pleased with the infestation and the player craze that it is creating.

When it comes to the future of Azeroth, it does not look pretty. It almost seems as if what we are seeing is a small part of the large scale zombie invasion and plague spread that we are likely to see in upcoming weeks. If you keep trying to log out and log back in to toggle the switch to “off” with this infestation and plague, give it up. From here, you must not only protect the city from the opposing faction, and all the weird creatures that sweep, crawl, swim, and roam the land, but you must protect it from the spread of the disease and infestation, and overcome the challenge by learning how to face the challenge of overcoming the sickness. That is, unless, you are down with the sickness and want to wreck havoc among all the players on your realm…

Which side will you take?
